About the event
Join us in this meeting in the House of Lords hosted by Baron Brian Paddick where we talk with one another about the drug war and the escalation of violence.
We will have several speakers at the meeting together with those who have been affected by the growing drug culture.
Here we will be looking at all the different aspects of Violence in the drug war, whether it be knife crime, the violence that occurs when drug deals 'go wrong,' and to violence against sex workers. And also the violence to police and by them as well. How can this violence be contained and does it require fundamental change in our drug laws.
In the so-called war on drugs, there are no laws or guidelines to govern how producers, traders and users behave , or are treated. In the light of increased violence AND drug-related deaths in UK Cities, it is time to focus on the gathering violence in the drug wars.
This meeting is a collaboration between the John Mordaunt Trust and GlobalNet21 and Andria E Mordaunt will chair this meeting.
